Bulgarian telecom has climbed to the top of the World Teleport Association (WTA) ranking only two years after joining Southeast Europe’s leading telecommunication and media operator

Vivacom, United Group’s Bulgarian telecom, has won a supreme recognition in a prestigious international ranking. Vivacom is now number one globally based on satellite services revenue growth for business clients, according to the Top Teleport Operators 2022, published by the World Teleport Association (WTA). On top of reaching the No 1 position in The Fast 10 category of the fastest developing operators, this year the telecom has also joined the group of the Global Top 20 companies based on revenues from all customized communications sources, including operators of teleports and satellite fleets.

Vivacom’s leading position in the WTA ranking comes just two years after its acquisition by United Group, leading telecommunications and media operator in Southeast Europe. Following a series of new investments in the development of the Plana Earth Station focused on services targeting business clients, in 2021 Vivacom was awarded full Tier 4 certification by the World Teleport Association, the highest possible certification in the field of teleport services, ranking the satellite station among the most modern facilities of its type in the world.
