United Group, the leading provider of telecommunications services and media in Southeast Europe, announced today the appointment of Tomislav Čizmić as CEO of Telemach Slovenia. Tomislav will succeed Adrian Ježina, who has successfully led Telemach since 2017, from the 7th of November 2023.
Under the leadership of Ježina, Telemach has had the fastest growing subscriber base in Slovenia, becoming the leading broadband operator in the country. It has also maintained its position as the leading pay TV operator and the fastest growing mobile service provider. Adrian will remain an integral part of United Group, continuing his work as CEO of Telemach Croatia (Hrvatska). In Croatia he successfully integrated Tele2, Optima and Total TV into one single converged operator and drove a massive rollout of fiber across Croatia.
Tomislav is a seasoned chief executive with 25 years of leadership experience. This has included initiating and executing turnaround and integration strategies for businesses in countries across the region. He joins Telemach Slovenia after six years as President of the Managemen Board of Mercator Group (2017-2023). Prior to being appointed to this position, he held various executive roles across Mercator’s regional operations. He has also held various executive positions in the automotive sector in Southeast Europe including with ACH Group and Dicar d.d. Budget Car Rental.
