United Group has launched EON, the first smart box in the region, which merges television content with Android TV digital services and applications, making any TV a smart TV.

Users in Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro will be able to watch channels from the SBB and Telemach offer on their TV, use all the EON advanced functions, and Android TV services: YouTube, Google Play Music, Google Play Movies & TV, download and play games from Google Play Games, as well as thousands of other apps from the Google Play Store.

With the EON smart box, the EON platform has gained a flagship product. Users will have the same experience on all devices, and furthermore, televisions, computers, phones and tablets will synchronize with each other.

The EON smart box comes with a new remote control with Bluetooth capability and voice search, two options that make content search very easy. Users will be able to point the remote anywhere and change channels, or simply use voice commands to search for content.

EON has also been improved. Now all channels come with the option of scrolling back programs up to 7 days. The video club is even richer with more than 12,500 titles of local and foreign films and series, and it will be continuously updated with new titles.

After setting HD as a standard, in almost all the countries in which it operates, UG is the first to bring a channel in 4K resolution, SK 4K, where Formula 1 and La Liga are already being broadcast.

New functions, a greater choice of titles and channels, and even higher Internet speeds, are all part of the new EON packages. EON is available to everyone in Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, whether on the SBB and Telemach networks or on other networks.

United Group will continue developing EON, as well as future services, thanks to the regional GIGA Network, the largest new-generation network in the region.

The United Group development center, United Cloud, with its 70 employees, mostly software engineers and technology experts from all around the region, has created EON, a product that even much larger companies do not have. The United Cloud team has won the CSI Award in the category Best TV Technology or Service, and the remote control has won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.
