We have all been following the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck Croatia on Tuesday. This is a tragedy that has taken lives, destroyed homes, and caused much suffering in many communities that we serve.
Thankfully, there have been no reports of death or serious injury among our own 950 employees and their families in Croatia. Others however have not been so lucky. The fact that this has happened during the holiday season makes the situation even more tragic. We deeply sympathize with everyone who has been affected.
We are in contact now with officials in Croatia to determine what kind of assistance we can offer as a company. For anyone who wants to make an individual contribution, the Croatian Red Cross has details on its website on how to make donations in cash or in kind.
I want to thank all our employees who are working throughout this situation, ensuring both the continuity of the services we provide in Croatia and helping to keep the public informed about what is going on there. I also want to thank everyone who has reached out to check on the wellbeing of our people in Croatia.
Our thoughts now are with all those who have been affected and the emergency services personnel who are helping them.
