D Express and City Express to be brought together into a single company, one of the largest parcel networks in Serbia

United Group has reached an agreement to sell D Express to Austrian Post. D Express and City Express, a wholly owned subsidiary of Austrian Post in Serbia, will be brought together into a single company, creating one of the leading operators in the Serbian postal and parcel market.

Austrian Post is acquiring 100 per cent of D Express. The company’s staff, client contracts and infrastructure transfer with the business, including its Belgrade logistics centre, 27 distribution centres, 45 parcel shops and more than 300 parcel lockers.

D Express enters the transaction from a position of strength. Investment in its parcel locker network, robotic sorting, fleet modernisation and service quality has made it one of the most technologically advanced operators in the Serbian market. In 2025 the company delivered around 14 million parcels, using its own couriers and a fleet of some 800 vehicles.

United Group set out in early 2025 its intention to focus on its core telecommunications and media businesses in Europe. This transaction marks further progress towards this objective.
