Daniel Barton
Interim Group Compliance Officer

Daniel Barton is a forensic accountant with significant experience in corporate and regulatory compliance. He joined United Group in 2025 as the Interim Head of Compliance responsible for overseeing the ongoing design and implementation of the ethics and compliance program and running internal investigations. He also coordinates United Group’s Net Zero strategy, ensuring sustainability is embedded into the company’s vision, operations and culture.

Previously, Daniel was the company director with responsibility for Ethics and Compliance at a group of oil and gas services companies based in Russia, the Netherlands, Cyprus and other offshore territories and for more than 10 years he assisted with the development of the worldwide Ethics and Compliance Program at a global manufacturing company. Most recently he has been leading the ethics and compliance initiative at a UK headquartered global research company, creating and delivering all aspects of the program.

Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in history with literature, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
