Kim Kyllesbech Larsen
Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO)

Dr. Kim Kyllesbech Larsen joined United Group as Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) in November 2025. With over 25 years of international leadership experience, Kim is a highly accomplished telecom and techno-economic strategist. Before joining United Group, he held senior roles at Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile, and Ooredoo Group, leading major network design and technology transformation projects across Europe, the United States, and Asia.

Kim served as CTIO for T-Mobile Netherlands and Magyar Telekom, where he spearheaded large-scale transformations, including the launch of 5G networks, cloudification of IT infrastructure, and infrastructure carve-outs, notably the creation of T-Infra BV (now part of Cellnex Netherlands). He was also part of the leadership team that facilitated the sale of T-Mobile Netherlands to private equity in 2022.

During his time at Deutsche Telekom, Kim held senior VP roles in Technology Economics, Architecture, and Innovation, advising on network strategy, M&A, and investment optimization, while pioneering techno-economic models and AI-driven operational excellence. At Ooredoo, he played a key role in launching Ooredoo Myanmar’s mobile broadband network and shaping strategies for network sharing and 5G deployments.

Kim is the founder of TechNEconomY and an Operating Partner at Macquarie Asset Management (Europe), advising on telecom infrastructure investments, including fiber, towers, and 5G/6G technologies. He also serves on the boards of Tusass A/S (Greenland) and Fiberhost(Poland), focusing on operational excellence and protecting critical communications infrastructure.

Kim holds a Ph.D. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from Aarhus University (Denmark) and has completed over 50 executive programs in finance, data science, AI, and digital transformation at leading institutions, including INSEAD, the University of Colorado Boulder, and Oxford University.
